Okay so I got over my little binge. (okay, big binge) from the holidays and what not. The holiday lbs are gone and I’m back to the drawing board. I feel good, and my clothes are definitely fitting better. Now its time to get into beast mode before I get too comfortable again.
I do best when I have someone or something else to hold myself accountable to (hence this blog) so I’ve committed myself to some challenges. I opted not to do the Whole Life Challenge this time because of time crunches for meal planning, I am still going to be eating clean and tracking my food just without the food restrictions (like whole grains or yogurt). If I notice I am not losing weight, I will try a whole 30. But for those of you who have not tried the Whole Life Challenge, I would highly recommend it!
In the mean time I just joined a diet bet- A challenge to lose 4% of your body weight in 4 weeks. To play you got to the website Dietbet.com and pick a challenge that looks good to you, and pay $30. You then have to log your starting weight with a picture and whoever has lost 4% of their body weight by the end of the 4 weeks splits the post. I did the math, (shocking, I know) and even if every single person loses the 4$ I’ll at least get my $30 back, so it should be interesting.
I also signed up, well involuntarily, for my first 5k of the year. Its in March, which gives me plenty of time to get back into “running shape” because I tried running the other day outside and let me tell you, it was not pretty. My goal this year is to definitely get my 5k time down. I want to get my Spartan Trifecta down this year too, but I am so scared of the Beast.
My last challenge begins on January 27, I am participating in the Edge Biggest Loser competition for a chance to win 5,000. I would love the money, but I would love to lose 40-50 pounds just as much, so I hope this is going to motivate me!
I enjoy finding challenges and things to train for because it keeps me motivated and on track. Now lets hope I follow through and make some money!
Um, involuntarily signed up for the 5K??? There was no pressure whatsoever hahaha
Proud of you! Go get that confidence!
